The Large Niche is a 2 compartment and is our most popular selling niche for your tiled shower as the “cut out” width is only 8 1/2″ fitting easily between the wall studs. We design our niches to hold 32 oz bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body scrubs. The Large 2 holds 2-32 oz while the three compartment only holds one 32 oz. Most common set up can be two Large niches, one on each side of the shower head at eye level, possibly his/hers. Our recessed units are the easiest niches to install, taking less than hour, including cutting the hole in the tile. Overall size is 9 ½” x 16 ¼” x 4” Cut out size is 8 ½” x 15”. Ribs of lower shelf have the backs removed so soap doesn’t slide out. Install level in cut out opening using silicone caulk and tape in place with aluminum tape overnight, finish caulk next day.
